Premium M2, T1, M3, V3 & Black Nitride Knife Steel
Precision Quality Corrugated Knife Stock

This is an excellent quality precision knife stock and 100% guaranteed. Corrugations are creep feed crush ground for maximum tolerance control. Cutting surface is super fine inline ground for excellent finishes in jointed applications. Our knives are made to exceed the ISO industry standard and provide trouble free long run performance. Knives are high grade AISI mill run steels that are salt bath hardened and triple draw stress relieved for greater consistency.
M2-HSS has earned the reputation of being industry standard in the woodworking field. It contains 6% Tungsten and 5% Molybdenum and hardened to 62 RC for better wear resistance in harder materials. Great for long runs in hardwoods and softwoods.
T1-HSS Offers 20-30% or more in longer run times than M2 and excels at resisting abrasion to glue lines.It is a well liked European grade and is made of 18% Tungsten for extra long runs. T1 is hardened to 64 RC, and cuts and grinds much the same as M2. T1-HSS is popular in mills that do long runs in mostly hardwoods or for softwood mills that want the ultimate in knife life and cutting performance.
M3-HSS Offers 25-30% or more in longer run times than standard M2. M3 is hardened to 63 RC, and is a little more difficult to grind than M2. M3 is popular grade for jointed runs and difficult to machine hardwoods.
Black Nitride -HSS Black Nitride is a premium HSS with a case hardened and black oxide coating to resist wear and pitch build up. Depending on hook angle 20-50% longer run times than standard M2 may be had with this new steel technology. Its grinds and cuts much the same as our M2. Our special case hardening procedure hardens the cutting edge to a depth of .010 and a hardness of 72 RC, much the same as (Opti Steel)tm.
V3-HSS High Vanadium long wearing steel is the latest in Super Steel technology. It is a long wearing steel and absolutely the best choice before resorting to carbide. Better than T1 and M3+ , V3 has twice the knife life of M2. Vanadium carbide particle are in higher concentration with Cobalt for un-beatable wear resistance formula. V3N is hardened to 65-67 RC. V3N should be hogged with ceramic or our Salt & Pepper grinding wheels and then finish ground with CBN.
Economy M2+ HSS This is a great new line of affordable steel that looks and performs much the same as our premium steel. It lacks the nice packaging and some other bells and whistles but can help lower your bottom line.
